Eight Things to Do on a Stormy Day
Eight Things to Do on a Stormy Day The weather people say that there will be more storms to come this year. Here’s your survival guide to some boring days ahead. •Movie Marathon! Haven’t caught the latest flicks? A stormy day is a perfect opportunity to have a movie marathon with your loved one(s). A film or two will provide hours of delightful distraction from a dull day. •Savor a hot drink. Give the old hot choco a rest! There are a lot of hot drinks to choose from. My favorites are: hot mocha topped with whipped cream, and coffee with a dash of brandy and a pinch of salt. •Read a book series. J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter will do. J.R.R. Tolkien’s LOTR and C.S. Lewis’s Chronicles of Narnia even better. If you’re up to something heavy, try some books by Tom Clancy. It’s up to you- no one’s gonna stop you if you like The Babysitter’s Club better. •Reorganize your closet. Let’s face it. This is something we always plan to do but never get the chance to. Do it on a stormy day- when you have nothing else to do and therefore have no reason NOT to do it. •Make music (or try). Pluck those strings, press those keys, and beat those drumheads! Maybe you are the next Beethoven and write an opus. If not, well, at least the wind is strong enough that you can depend on your next-door neighbor not hearing your futile attempts at Rain Rain Go Away on the violin. •Think about past stormy days and what you did then. Look back and reminisce on the last stormy day you had. Did you do something fun and productive; or did you just stumble along like those dreadful creatures at Resident Evil? •Sleep! The body needs about 8 hours of sleep. If by chance you’re like me and seem to never get enough sleep- do what I do. Make a stormy day a reason to catch up all those hours of sleep you missed. •Write a list like this one. What do YOU like to do on a stormy day? Write them down and publish them on your blog. Heck, you’ve got first amendment rights too. Exercise them. |

These are all OK as long as the storm doesn't make the roof rattle too much.
This definitely a good list. I would add have a feast. Snuggle up in front of the fireplace. Turn out all the lights, light candles and pretend it's 1770 and the British are coming. Playing solitaire with a deck of 51 cards.
Great idea for an intel!
